The Designer and Boutique show was the first fashionshow to kick off FASHIONWEEK A/W 16. Some of Northern Ireland's hottest designers such as Nor-Lisa, Grainne Maher-Vault and new comers such as Zohara, Laura O'Hanlon Millinery, The Ross Collection, Vijeta Lal and ONA by Agne showcased, along with local boutiques such as Diamond Dolls, Jourdan, Spoilt Belle Boutique and Blush Boutique. I was very excited about coming to the event as I knew that there would be the most stylish designs from local Designers and Boutiques. I wanted to go for more of a relaxed rock chick look for this event. I spoke to the designer Nor-Lisa Fashion and she created for me a custom made black lace tulle skirt. I teamed it up with a printed tiger crop top,velvet blue ankle boots and a statement white fluffy clutch.
The venue was packed full of very stylish people egar to see this seasons most loved trends. Before the show fashion lovers got their social shots taken by the very talented photographer Brendan Gallagher and then offered a very refreshing west coast cooler drink. In the reception room there was a mini fashion market so that the guests could indulge in devine fashion and lifestyle products. Fresh music was played by Cool FM whilst the guests mingled and enjoyed a tasty yogurt from Dale Farm.
When the show finally began the FASHIONWEEK audience were mesmerised by stunning cmpr models modelling unique and elite high fashion designs. We saw metallics, rich reds, goddess golds, natural tones, leather, lace and sequins.
The fabulous hair and makeup was created by the most talented makeup and hair artists from Jason Shankey hairdressing and Oonagh Boman school of makeup. I was impressed by the very professional cmpr models and they were flawless on the catwalk. I want to say a massive thanks to Cathy Martin and her CMPR team for making my evening very memorable.
