In school i always felt out of place and i didn't know were i belonged.  The only place i felt content was in the art room, that was my haven.  When i left school i applied for the technical college in my hometown in Enniskillen.  Honestly speaking i wasn't quite sure whether it was my fate to apply for the Betec in Art and Design,as my grades weren't the highest.  I was bullied at school and hated it,so my grades suffered also.  The one person who believed i could get into the course was my sister Lisa, she directed me in the right direction and i got into the Art and Design course.  For years i thrived and reached my potential and i also made it into my foundation year because of my hard work.  By the end of the course i knew my place was in the fashion field. So when i received my grades, i applied and got into the Fashion and Textiles course in Bristol.  For the first time in my life,i didn't feel worthless.  When i came home to Ireland my...

Matty's Melts As an Irish fashion/lifestyle blogger I particularly enjoy blogging about local brands and businesses whenever I can,as I believe that it is my duty not only as a blogger but as an Irish citizen.I want to help preserve the Irish businesses ensuring their survival in the coming future.I have many likes and dislikes, one like of mine in the food market would be the most indulging foods I believe is out there.Chocolate is my favourite and I always love to explore new flavours and textures, whether it be dark, milk, white or even a combination of all.The market for chocolate is enormous and rarely these days do we see new Irish chocolate brands,as we know brands like "Lilly O'Brien's" and "Butlers Chocolates" are doing amazingly well for themselves.Though the market for chocolate is huge, there is always room for new talent. I live in a wee town called Enniskillen in Co.Fermanagh and I try to focus on the Irish brands who live in my area.Recen...

Image
Every season at West Coast Cooler FASHIONWEEK I always look forward to the Designer Boutique night. This particular night we see some amazing show stopping  catwalk collections from local irish designers and designer boutiques.Spring/Summer would be my favourite season and I was dying to see what the local irish designers and boutiques had in store since the launch of  West Coast Cooler FASHIONWEEK S/S 16 in January. This season I have really fell deeply in love with printed kimonos and colour blocking. So I asked the very talented Nor-Lisa Fashion Designer to design me my very own printed kimono style dress for the show, using the colours and florals I personally liked. After a week Nor-Lisa created a beautiful floral printed wrap dress which was in the style of a kimono.I was mesmerised by the final design and I was very excited to wear it to the event that evening.I decided to wear bright orange wedges and a matching orange clutch, which had a quirky blue Pom Pom and cream tassel...

Nor-Lisa Fashion Designer S/S 2016 Fashionshow

Image
Spring/Summer is my favourite season,as the clothing is lighter and more bright and colourful.Nor-Lisa Fashion Designer showcased her Spring/Summer 16 collection at the very exclusive "The Chelsea Bar" in Belfast.Very talented models from LSH/RMNI Entertainment,Promotions and modelling took to the catwalk wearing stunning show stopping designs by Nor-Lisa.For Spring/Summer 16 Nor-Lisa took on the concept of "Summer"quite literal in her collection.Inspired by her trip last Summer to the South of France, where she was mesmerised by clear blue skies and water down by the marina.Along with orangey tone sunsets and coral beds, how could she resist collaborating all these beautiful colours and textures into her recent collection. In every collection I've seen by Nor-Lisa has an Oriental or Grecian feel to it.This however hasn't been purposely created, even though the designer adores these cultures. It almost comes as a natural thing to her without realising.I personall...
